Every builder promises quality work. We think that should be the minimum, not the selling point. The Renex Standard exists to make our expectations clear before your project even begins. It's the level of service, communication and professionalism we believe every homeowner deserves, and it's the standard we expect ourselves to deliver on every project, regardless of size or value.
We will always tell you the truth.
If we think there's a better way of doing something, we'll tell you. If something isn't possible, we'll explain why. If we make a mistake, we'll own it. Honest conversations build better projects than unrealistic promises ever will.
We will explain every quotation.
We never want you signing a quotation you don't fully understand. We'll explain what's included, what's excluded and answer any questions before work begins, so you can make a confident decision knowing exactly what you're paying for.
We will communicate before you need to ask.
Nobody enjoys chasing builders for updates or wondering what's happening next. We'll keep you informed throughout your project, explain any changes as early as possible and make sure you always know where things stand.
We will respect your home.
Your house isn't just another job site. It's where you live, where your family spends time and where you're placing a huge amount of trust in us. We'll treat your home with the same care and respect we'd expect if somebody was working in our own.
We will turn up prepared.
Every project starts with a plan. Before work begins you'll know what's happening, who's responsible and what the next stages look like. Good organisation prevents unnecessary stress, delays and misunderstandings.
We will never surprise you with additional work.
Construction sometimes uncovers things nobody could have predicted. If that happens, we'll explain the issue, talk through your options and agree the next steps before carrying out any additional chargeable work.
We will keep our standards consistent.
Whether we're building a single garden wall or a full home extension, our expectations don't change. Every client receives the same level of communication, organisation and professionalism because every homeowner deserves the same experience.
We will work with you, not around you.
The best projects happen when homeowners and builders work together. We'll listen to your ideas, explain our recommendations and keep you involved throughout the project so the finished result reflects exactly what you set out to achieve.
We will finish properly.
We don't consider a project complete until we've walked through everything with you, answered your questions and made sure you're happy with the finished result. If something needs attention, we'll put it right.
Health & Safety
We ask that customers avoid entering active work areas unless accompanied by a member of the Renex team.
Construction sites naturally contain hazards and restricting access helps keep everyone safe.
Completion
Once work has been completed, we'll carry out a final walkthrough with you to ensure everything has been delivered in accordance with the agreed scope of works.
Any minor snagging items identified during handover will be recorded and completed within a reasonable timeframe.
Guarantees
Where guarantees apply, they'll be explained within your quotation or project documentation.
Manufacturer warranties remain subject to the individual manufacturer's terms.
Photographs
Unless you've specifically asked us not to, we may photograph completed work for use on our website, social media and marketing materials.
We will never publish personal information or photographs that identify you without your permission.
If you'd prefer your project to remain private, simply let us know.
Cancellations
If you decide to cancel your project before work has started, please contact us as soon as possible.
Where materials have already been ordered or costs have been incurred specifically for your project, these may remain payable.
If work has already commenced, you'll be responsible for payment of work completed and any committed costs up to the cancellation date.
Limitation of liability
Nothing within these Terms & Conditions limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Subject to applicable law, Renex's liability is limited to the value of the agreed contract for the work carried out.
Complaints
If something isn't right, we'd always encourage you to speak to us first.
Most issues can be resolved quickly through an open conversation.

Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
